The Easiest Free Way to Upgrade Your Pitch Deck

Hiring a designer can be expensive, so a lot of early-stage startup founders opt to design their own pitch decks. DIY decks are fine in the early days, but you don’t always want the deck to look DIY.

One thing that always stands out to me in a DIY deck: icons from different sets. Can you see it?

🤓

Even though the colors and subject matter are pretty similar, some differences stand out to me. Fat outlines vs skinny outlines vs no outlines. Shadows vs no shadows. And why is only the taco twinkling?

You can see how these icons feel like they’re all from the same “font.”

And they’re free. You can grab them from flaticon.com, which I have no affiliation with. Make sure you choose the “group by style” option to get same-set icons.
